This is a ground-cover type of plant that is growing wild in the grass just off my deck. I'm not sure where it came from, but it appears every now and then. Pushing itself through the grass (and other varieties of green stuff) that is already there, it bursts out with these vibrant purple blossoms. 
If you saw this entire rose bush, you would not believe it that such a lovely blossom could possibly appear on it. I have neglected it so, but Someone Else is still making something beautiful out of it - in spite of me. If He cares enough to do this with a neglected rosebush, just imagine what He wants to do with something He loves so much more than foliage!
