Being promoted to the position of 'Grandparents'!

2011 - will be an AWESOME year for the Nelson/Lynn family. Our beautiful daughter and son-in-law are blessing us with our first grandchild - a boy. Christopher Aiden Lynn is due to arrive June 30 (the same date his Mama was due! How cool is that?)

My friend's new house...

Doesn't really do it justice, but we were there after dark...and hey...I like night pictures!

Check out the gorgeous fireplace! Very pretty!
And the pool...well what can you say about that? Again, very nice!

Night of Stars

3rd Annual Night of Stars event. We roll out the red carpet for an event that gives our ladies the opportunity to really dress up, enjoy a fabulous meal and be escorted by some really handsome gentlemen!

Here were a couple of the 'real' stars! (I know she puts stars in her Papa's eyes!)

Photography Practice Opportunity

Hubby officiated at a 50th Anniversary Vow renewal for a sweet couple at the church where he is serving. I took advantage of the opportunity to do some 'creative' photography. Weddings and Wedding-like events are my favorite.

Wee Folk

We considered going on the Ghost Tour in St. Augustine, but frankly, I don't believe in Fairies and Pixies and such as that.

The answer to the age old question...

Do men every ask for directions? The answer is a resoundng "yes"!

They ask pirety guys...
They ask midgets captains...
Tbey ask flat headed fortune telling Uncle Sams...

They resort to asking a real scary pirety-like guy. Not much help though.

They will go so far as to check with those who have gone beyond...You would think someoe like that would have the ins and outs of location, but then again...

They check in with Madam Grandmammie the Fortune-teller or whatever...

As for mine, we got as far as Vilano Beach. before he had to ask some unidentifed creature. He didn't now either.

His own flesh and blood didn't even know. Just could not get any answers.

Who knew that all it would take is a trip to Ritas for a Gelati, and all would become clear! We successfully made it to our destination after all!
Whoever said that men don't ask for directions has never traveled around with mine!

Just a cute photo....

I took this a couple of weeks ago at our company picnic. This was a girl who used to work for us, but has retired for a little while to a much 'higher calling'. She has a really cute and sweet little girl.

She talked about how she wasn't ever around babies much, so you run into the question all we 'Mom's' ask ourselves at some point early in 'Motherhood'... How the heck do you entertain a 2 month old? What do you do with them??? The answer...trust your instincts, give them lots of hugs, lots of kisses, lots of rocking in the rocking chair. Keep them well fed, clean and happy, and teach them that Jesus loves them. That, in my humble and most accurate opinion, is the definition of a successful Mommy! "Her children will rise up and call her Blessed." (Read Proverbs 31)

Coworker Birthday

This is my friend at work...any excuse for cake, but Birthdays are by far the best! She got a gorgeous arrangement of flowers from a special friend, too! It has stargazer lilies in it, so it smells scrumptous!

Pooped out Pup

I took this the other night. Didn't feel much like taking his picture tonight, because he really WAS a 'pooped' pup, if you know what I mean. Yeah...on my carpet! He hasn't done that in quite a while, so I will give him the benefit of the doubt that he may possibly have had an upset tummy. Since we haven't finished his English lessons yet, he couldn't really communicate as well as needed...I suppose. See, I'm trying to be forgiving...but YUCK!
