Being promoted to the position of 'Grandparents'!
2011 - will be an AWESOME year for the Nelson/Lynn family. Our beautiful daughter and son-in-law are blessing us with our first grandchild - a boy. Christopher Aiden Lynn is due to arrive June 30 (the same date his Mama was due! How cool is that?)

Tropical Storm Fay
Our home is located on a retention pond. I was amazed at the amount of water this storm has dropped on our area. Here's a little visual comparison for you!
There is another house next to this one that has a bulkhead. Normally you see about 3 to 4 feet of it above the level of the water. Look at it now!
Now you see it....
Now you don't!

Little Girls Grow Up
I helped out with the wedding of Emiley and Kyle last weekend. I've known Emiley since she was a wee girl, and knew of Kyle during some of his growing up years. I'm glad they found each other!

Fiddler's Festival - Smithville, TN
Took a little trip a couple of weeks ago. As with all vacations it was way too short!
We followed behind the fine folks in this vehicle (my parents!) for 13 hours! Since I got back it has become obvious I ate entirely too much!
Auntie's cute little house in Rickman, TN. She has a front porch where we watched and photographed hummingbirds! That is pretty cool!
There were 4 of them fighting over the feeder at once! Who needs TV, right?
My auntie, the banker. She even has her own room! :-) She looks like she knows what she doing! LOL!
Cumberland National Park. They have an all you can eat buffet - pretty darn good food! (BUFFET = Big Ugly Fat Folks Eating Together) That will help you curb your appetite at those places, huh? LOL!
My cousin Tony and his 2 kiddos. Haven't seen him in many years, and have never met his kids. They are great kids!
The shade tree pickers were really fun to listen to. The man in the red hat could really sing!
Stone bridge at Cumberland National Park.
Allen serenading Minnie Mae, my Great Aunt. One of the few I have left. She really enjoyed herself.
...and at last...the Fiddler's Jamboree. What an experience. There are an awful lot of people with great talent in this world! Then there are some with not so much - but we heard some awesome stuff here.
This lady was playing the hammer dulcimer. She was unbelievable!
